status-completed I just noticed that our Watercooler is gone! (Both on Meta and on the Main site) Before: After: Seems that not only it was removed, but that list was moved left to use it's space. Also, seems that there is some free space on the right (even more than before), so I say that we could have our Watercooler back, while still having space for ...

status-bydesign Seems that the new design also took away several of the office items/gadgets that were part of the top design (both on Meta and Main site). Before: After: It took away the folder, the pictures/postcards, the keyboard and the USB. It also took away the Fastener Clips that "hold together" the UI elements. Seems that originally the ...

The tag menu cutoff happens because the style sheet here on workplace.SE styles the #content element as overflow: hidden. Simply overriding that style with: #content { overflow: visible } is enough to fix it. (However, I'm a bit worried that the overflow: hidden style may have been added for a reason, possibly to fix some other unrelated problem ...

Thanks for the fun idea! Unfortunately, it's not possible to do. It's not a bad idea - to quote the response I got when asking about this: I think clicking it is a fine idea, but it's just not built that way. The thing is, the water cooler in the footer is just a background image. It's not an active element that can be clicked. One of the goals of ...

status-completed On Internet Explorer 11, the "THE WORKPLACE" logo text is smashed right into the black StackExchange banner, which I find unpleasant. It was spaced properly before.

The design changes were made across the network to enable the team to maintain design elements on 174 different sites. Before this, each (non-beta) site had its own custom CSS and making a change to the UI often broke something, somewhere because of that. That's a done deal; SE isn't going to roll that back. With the new design framework, sites can ...

Note: The same issue is happening on the main Workplace site which is far worse than just no photos on meta. Please fix both at the same time. The issue may be the Z-index of the background when the dialog pops up. Using the developer tools, I get the following HTML for the gray box: <div class="wmd-prompt-background" style="position: absolute; top: 0px;...

We're going to use a darker blue for the chatroom button background color so the logo doesn't show up as a magnet. The change will go live after our next production build.

The bug seems to be caused by the following CSS rule: #header { z-index: 2; } Why is this rule a problem? It's because any element with a z-index value other than auto establishes a new stacking context that subsumes all elements under it in the DOM. And, as it happens, the image upload popup is, for some reason, nominally located inside the header: ...

The top bar buttons are really close to the right edge. Every time I look at the corner, I think I need to scroll right on my browser to see everything. I don't, the icon is just too close to the edge. The spacing between the SE icon and the Help icon is two or three times as much as to the edge, which makes it appear like there's missing content. This isn'...
